  Update March 11, 2005

Once again I only have time for a quickie update. Since the last one I have driven to Tucson with the Pup. Then I had to make a minor repair from the ride in the truck to the prop ring support tubes. At the end of the day it was indeed tiring, but I still had to drive 2 hours to Phoenix to pick up my volunteer driver at midnight thirty. :) We made it back to Tucson by 3:00 this morning, and I got to sleep 3 hours before heading out to Larry Hinton's place to test run the engine and set the prop pitch, etc. I rigged the wing, but it was too windy to fly a test flight. Besides that, I am just plain pooped!

Since this adventure started over 2 weeks ago, I have not slowed down one bit and have been going at it hard every day and most of the nights. It is hot here with temps in the mid 80's and the winds are pretty strong in the afternoons and gusty. I plan to try and test fly the Pup and check out the wing rigging and everything else in the morning if at all possible. Then we will chill out in the afternoon and evening in preparation for getting back on the flight path on Sunday morning. Larry and another fellow PPC pilot from here may fly with me from Marana to San Manuel.

There is a weather system moving in here the first part of the week, so it would be best to get out and into the high country if we can. While it has been wonderful to be in these warm temps and my tan is coming along nicely, I still want to see some more progress. :)

Have a good one!
Steve
