A closer look at the Mini Me...

The Mini Me was designed by Steve Thomas with the help and advice of several other homebuilders and designers and built in Steve’s garage. The first ten hours of flight-testing has determined the wing to be used on the flight to be the Thunderbolt E-310. The 310’ elliptical wing combined with the large prop on the tiny single cylinder engine flies along at 27 mph airspeed at a gross weight of 450 pounds and burns less than 1.5 gph of fuel.

Specifications

The Mini Me weighs 220 pounds dry and 250 pounds full of fuel, including accessories.
The propeller is a 2-blade 68” ground adjustable model.
The engine is a Hirth F-33, 28 hp electric start with a belt drive.
The fuel tank is removable for times when fuel will need to be obtained away from the landing site.
Front wheel disc brake.
Landing lights.
Adjustable spreader bar for infinite C/G fine-tuning and torque correction.
Full instrumentation including fuse panel, switches for engine magnetos, key switch, switches for strobe light and landing lights, main power switch, EGT and CHT gauges, volt meter, aviation GPS, Tiny Tach and aviation radio.
